CVE-2024-40587

Privileged command execution via crafted CLI requests

Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025

OS command injection in affected Fortinet FortiVoice releases allows local users with administrative privileges to execute arbitrary commands. Fortinet identifies crafted CLI requests as the input path but has not disclosed the affected command, parameter, or code path that fails to neutralize special elements. Administrative CLI access is required; successful exploitation runs unauthorized code or commands in versions 6.0.0 through 6.0.12, 6.4.0 through 6.4.9, and 7.0.0 through 7.0.4.
