Stored XSS via unescaped Lottie animation URL
Published Jun 4, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Kadence WP Kadence Blocks before 3.2.37 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through crafted Lottie block URLs. The Lottie block renderer inserts the user-controlled fileUrl attribute into page markup without sufficient validation or output escaping. Contributor access is required to save the block; the script runs when another user previews or views the post and moves the pointer over its image.
