Directory traversal in forkosh MimeTeX before 1.77 allows remote attackers to read or append arbitrary Windows files via crafted paths. The command-line and CGI input handlers accept attacker-controlled paths, but the public vulnerability reference redacts the specific path-processing error. Exploitation requires a Windows deployment that processes attacker-controlled expressions, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized file reading or appending.
