Unauthenticated file read via unrestricted snapshot path
Published Jul 24, 2024 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Path traversal in Stition Devika 1.0 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files through the browser snapshot endpoint. The /api/get-browser-snapshot handler passes the unvalidated snapshot_path query value directly to Flask's send_file function without restricting it to a snapshot directory. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the process account's filesystem permissions bound the readable data.
