CVE-2024-4028Network attack vector

Stored script execution via unsanitized permission payload

Published Feb 18, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025

Stored XSS in Keycloak and Red Hat Single Sign-On 7 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through the Admin Console. The Admin Console stores a malicious permission or resource value without adequate input validation and later renders it as active script. A highly privileged account must create the crafted authorization item; exploitation exposes or alters data available to the administrative session.
