CVE-2024-4021Network attack vector

Installed-component disclosure via unauthenticated ndmComponents.js request

Published Apr 21, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Information disclosure in /ndmComponents.js in Keenetic routers through 4.1.2.15 allows remote attackers to enumerate installed components. The unauthenticated handler returns a list of installed KeeneticOS components, such as WPA3 Enterprise, WireGuard, and OpenVPN, rather than withholding it before login. Network reachability to the web interface is sufficient; the response reveals component presence but not whether a component is enabled, active, or locally providing a service.
