Stored XSS via javascript-scheme bookmarks
Published Apr 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 18, 2025
Stored XSS in Pydio Core 8.2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript when a victim opens a crafted URL bookmark. The New URL Bookmark feature accepts a javascript-scheme URL, stores it as a bookmark, and executes it in another user's browser when opened. An attacker needs any user account and victim interaction; a bookmark placed in Common Files can reach logged-in users, enabling session compromise or phishing.
