Credential disclosure via plaintext web configuration files
Published Jul 26, 2024 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Plaintext credential storage in Solar-Log 1000 before 2.8.2-52 allows remote authenticated users to read FTP, SMTP, and SMS passwords. The export.html, email.html, and sms.html configuration pages retain those service passwords as readable plaintext rather than protecting them. Low-privilege access to the device configuration interface is sufficient, exposing credentials for reuse against the associated services.
