Browser script execution via unsanitized language cookie
Published Jun 2, 2025 · Updated Jun 2, 2025
Cross-site scripting in Sitecom WLX-2006 firmware 1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through the language cookie. The web interface places the cookie value into a script reference on /usr/www/html/main.html without neutralizing closing markup. Execution requires a user to visit a crafted link or load a manipulated cookie and enables session hijacking, credential theft, or malicious redirection.
