Sensitive log disclosure via unauthenticated support webserver
Published Oct 21, 2024 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
Missing authentication in Vilo Living Vilo Wi-Fi 5 Firmware 5.16.1.33 and earlier allows remote attackers to retrieve sensitive logs from Boa. The support server on port 8023 exposes a downloadable encrypted log without authenticating requests, and a hard-coded XOR key recovers its contents. The server is off by default, but local-network users can read process lists, MAC addresses, MQTT logs, and Wi-Fi information whenever it is exposed.
