Arbitrary script execution via unsanitized administrator settings
Published May 15, 2025 · Updated Nov 13, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in BracketSpace Advanced Cron Manager before 2.5.7 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through admin settings. The plugin stores settings without sufficient input sanitization and renders them without adequate output escaping, causing attacker-supplied script to execute when an injected page is opened. Administrator privileges are required, and exposure is limited to WordPress multisite deployments or installations where unfiltered_html is disabled.
