Authenticated command execution via unescaped filter value
Published Jul 19, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Command injection in Tenda AX9 and AX12 firmware 22.03.01.46 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The /goform/setMacFilterCfg handler persists macFilterType and later interpolates its prior value into a doSystemCmd shell command without effective neutralization. Adjacent-network access and router-management credentials are required; exploitation runs commands with the firmware web service's privileges.
