Stored XSS via forged settings update
Published Jun 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored XSS in AZAN Plugin 0.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a forged administrator settings request. The settings handler accepts azan_custom_cities without a CSRF nonce or input sanitization, then renders the stored value without output escaping. An authenticated administrator must be induced to submit the request, and the script executes when a page loads the widget.
