Code execution via oversized DPAX file data
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Heap-based buffer overflow in Delta Electronics CNCSoft-G2 2.0.0.5 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted DPAX file. The DPAX parser copies attacker-controlled data into a fixed-length heap buffer without validating its length. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, after which code runs in the current process.
