Code execution via DPAX out-of-bounds read
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Delta Electronics CNCSoft-G2 2.0.0.5 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted DPAX file. The DPAX parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading beyond the end of an allocated buffer, and the resulting memory fault is exploitable for code execution. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file, after which attacker-controlled code runs in the current process.
