Credential disclosure via unrestricted authentication attempts
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 27, 2025
Improper brute-force protection in Siemens SINEMA Remote Connect Server before 3.2 SP1 allows remote attackers to learn user credentials. The Client Communication component accepts excessive authentication attempts against user credentials without effective restriction. Network access to that component is sufficient; successful attacks disclose only credentials weak enough to be guessed.
