Service crash via crafted pre-authentication HTTP request
Published Aug 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 21, 2024
Exceptional-condition handling in VONETS Wi-Fi bridge firmware 3.3.23.6.9 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash the HTTP service. The HTTP service fails to handle a condition triggered by a crafted request to a pre-authentication resource; no finer code locus is public. No credentials or user interaction are required, and exploitation interrupts the HTTP service without a reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
