Authenticated filesystem access via ProFTPD directive injection
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
Configuration injection in Wavlink AC3000 M33A8.V5030.210505 allows remote authenticated users to access router files via HTTP. nas.cgi stores the unfiltered ftp_port value in NVRAM, and proftpd.sh appends it after Port in /etc/proftpd.conf without rejecting newlines. An administrator session is required; an injected DefaultRoot directive exposes directories available to the FTP account and can lead to a shell.
