CVE-2024-39771

Traffic interception and alteration via improper certificate validation

Published Aug 28, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024

Improper certificate validation in QBiC CLOUD CC-2L 1.1.30 and earlier and Safie One 1.8.2 and earlier allows attackers to read or alter traffic. The camera firmware accepts an untrusted server certificate instead of rejecting the TLS peer, enabling interception or modification of communications. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker on the same network with the expertise to interpose on the cameras' network communications.
