Push-notification spoofing via unverified server identity

Improper authentication in Mattermost Mobile Apps 2.16.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to spoof another server's push notifications. The app accepts a notification's diagnostic ID or server URL without verifying that the sending server owns that identity, then attributes the notification to the referenced server. Exploitation requires a user to connect the app to a malicious server, resulting in misleading notification content and limited client disruption.
