Authenticated command execution via unfiltered netmask parameter
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
OS command injection in Wavlink AC3000 M33A8.V5030.210505 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via HTTP. The set_add_routing() path in internet.cgi appends the netmask POST value to a shell command buffer without filtering and executes it with popen(). Administrator authentication is required; successful injection runs commands in the router firmware's operating-system context.
