Unauthenticated code execution via injected cron entry
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025
OS command injection in Wavlink AC3000 M33A8.V5030.210505 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through an HTTP request. The unauthenticated login.cgi set_sys_init() path inserts restart_hour_value into SCH_Reboot without neutralizing command characters, and sch_reboot.sh appends that value to the adm2860 crontab. Network access to the router's HTTP interface is sufficient, and the injected cron entry runs commands in the appliance's administrative context.
