Release fingerprinting via HTTP request version disclosure
Published Jul 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Information disclosure in IBM Datacap Navigator 9.1.5 through 9.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to learn its version via HTTP requests. The HTTP request handling path exposes the installed release identifier, but IBM has not published the exact header, parameter, or code path responsible. A valid low-privilege session is required; the disclosure is limited to release fingerprinting that can guide selection of later attacks.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=9.1.5, 9.1.6, 9.1.7, 9.1.8, 9.1.9
