CVE-2024-39734Network attack vector

Session cookie disclosure via missing Secure attribute

Published Jul 14, 2024 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Cookie security flaw in IBM Datacap Navigator 9.1.5 through 9.1.9 allows remote attackers to read session cookies sent over HTTP. Authorization tokens and session cookies are issued without the Secure attribute, so browsers transmit their values in cleartext to an HTTP link within the applicable cookie scope. A user must follow or encounter the planted link, after which a network observer can capture the cookie value and obtain its session authority.
