Sensitive-data disclosure and memory exhaustion via XXE
Published Nov 15, 2024 · Updated Nov 15, 2024
XXE in IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Engineering Insights 7.0.2 and 7.0.3 allows remote attackers to read sensitive data. Its XML parser accepts attacker-controlled document type definitions and resolves external entity references while processing XML data. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful exploitation exposes data or consumes memory, interrupting service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.0.2, 7.0.3
