Account draining via mismatched vesting authorization
Published Jul 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Evmos before 19.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to drain account funds through the vesting precompile. fundVestingAccount checks authorization against contract.CallerAddress but transfers funds from the separate message-supplied funder address. Exploitation requires a transaction-capable chain account and a crafted contract call; the supplied funder can be any address.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
