Unauthenticated file write via unconstrained data directory
Published Jul 22, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Path traversal in Fish Audio Bert-VITS2 2.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to write config.json beneath an arbitrary existing directory. The generate_config function passes untrusted data_dir input through os.path.join and opens the resulting data//configs/config.json path for writing without constraining it to the data tree. An unauthenticated request to the exposed Gradio /run/predict endpoint can overwrite that fixed-name file and use error differences to discover existing server directories.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
