Internal network access via unchecked document URLs
Published Jul 5, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SSRF in Fedify before 0.9.2, 0.10.0, and 0.11.0 allows remote attackers to access internal resources through supplied URLs. The built-in fetchDocumentLoader and authenticated document loader pass object, activity, and media URLs to fetch without restricting schemes or resolving hosts to public IP addresses. Exploitation requires a Fedify application to resolve attacker-controlled ActivityPub content; downstream applications that store or publish results expose retrieved internal data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=0 <=0.11.0
- Affected versionversion== 0.10.0
