Recipe template overwrite via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Gora Tech Cooked 1.7.15.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite the default recipe template. The cooked_save_default AJAX handler accepts attacker-supplied default_content and saves it without validating an anti-CSRF nonce. Exploitation requires an authenticated WordPress user to load attacker-controlled content, causing the browser to submit the unintended template change.
