Unintended recipe ID retrieval via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 17, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Gora Tech Cooked 1.7.15.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to retrieve recipe IDs via a forged request. The cooked_get_recipe_ids AJAX handler accepts a POST to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php without validating a nonce, so the victim’s authenticated browser submits the action. Exploitation requires an authenticated user to visit attacker-controlled content; the documented action only returns recipe identifiers and does not alter recipes or settings.
