Administrator settings changes via forged POST request
Published Jun 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
CSRF in Project Caruso Pray For Me 1.0.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to change plugin settings through a forged request. The wp-admin/admin.php?page=caruso_prayer_plugin_settings endpoint accepts attacker-supplied form fields without a CSRF nonce check. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open attacker-controlled HTML, and it overwrites the form and confirmation text settings.
