Stored XSS via insufficient output encoding
Published Jul 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in SAP Business Warehouse BW-BPS allows remote authenticated users to modify web content through saved input. In SAP_BW 700, 701, 702, 730, 731, 740, and 750 through 758, plus SAP_BW_VIRTUAL_COMP 701, BW-BPS insufficiently encodes user-controlled values before storing and rendering them in web planning content. Low-privilege access is required to save the input and another user must view the stored content, where the injected script can expose browser-accessible content and alter the displayed page.
