CVE-2024-39565Network attack vector

Remote command execution via XPath injection

Published Jul 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

XPath injection in J-Web in Juniper Networks Junos OS allows remote attackers to execute commands through crafted network requests. J-Web incorporates attacker-controlled request data into XPath expressions without neutralizing XPath metacharacters. Exploitation requires an administrator's active or prior J-Web session and runs commands with that user's credentials, enabling full device control.
