Routing-process crash via malformed BGP path attribute
Published Feb 5, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
Double free in Juniper Networks Junos OS 22.4 and Junos OS Evolved 22.4 allows remote attackers to crash rpd via a BGP update. While logging a malformed BGP path attribute, rpd frees the memory allocated for the bad-attribute log twice. An established BGP session must deliver the crafted update; the resulting routing-process crash interrupts service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
