CVE-2024-3955Network attack vector

Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked logtime parameter

Published May 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Code injection in CraftBeerPi 4 before 4.4.1.a1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code through crafted log requests. The downloadlog handler passes the unvalidated logtime path parameter to a controller routine that incorporates it into an os.system command. No authentication or user interaction is required, and affected code beginning with 4.0.0.58 executes commands with the service process's privileges.
