Local system crash via unchecked error pointer
Published Jul 12, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
NULL-pointer dereference in the Komeda DRM driver in Linux allows local users to crash the system through display state changes. komeda_component_get_avail_scaler() checks only for NULL before dereferencing a value from komeda_pipeline_get_state(), which can return an error-valued pointer. Access to the local DRM path is required, and the resulting failure is limited to a kernel crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
