Local kernel compromise via hugetlb reservation corruption

Memory corruption in Linux kernel 6.9 allows local users to read or modify kernel memory through crafted hugetlb mappings. After vma_needs_reservation returns ENOMEM, __unmap_hugepage_range still calls vma_add_reservation, underflowing reservation state and corrupting heap objects. An unprivileged local process can drive the syscall sequence without user interaction, but the host must have a nonzero hugepage pool; outcomes include kernel data exposure, writes, hangs, or panic.
