Code execution via out-of-bounds file parsing write
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe InDesign Desktop 19.4 and 18.5.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a malicious file. The file parser writes beyond an allocated memory boundary while processing crafted file data; Adobe has not disclosed the affected routine or format structure. Execution requires a victim to open the file and runs with the victim's current-user privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
