Code execution via malicious file parsing
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 16, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Adobe InDesign 19.4 and 18.5.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute code after a user opens a malicious file. Adobe identifies CWE-121 but has not published the affected parser, file format, or unchecked operation that overwrites stack memory. Exploitation requires user interaction, and successful code runs with the privileges of the current user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
