Memory disclosure via unchecked AVI buffer read
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Bridge 13.0.8 and earlier and 14.1.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to disclose memory via a crafted AVI file. The AVI parser fails to validate user-supplied data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer, exposing sensitive process memory. Exploitation requires a victim to visit a malicious page or open the file, and leaked addresses can weaken ASLR for a separate attack.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
