Code execution via unchecked AVI buffer write
Published Aug 14, 2024 · Updated Aug 14, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in AVI parsing in Adobe Bridge 13.0.8 and 14.1.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious file. The AVI parser insufficiently validates user-supplied file data and writes past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file or visit a malicious page, and code runs in the current user's process context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
