Sensitive-memory disclosure via unchecked AVI object use
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Use-after-free in Adobe Premiere Pro 24.5, 23.6.8 and earlier allows local users to disclose sensitive memory through a crafted AVI file. The AVI parser operates on an object without first validating that the object still exists after it has been freed. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious file; the documented consequence is memory disclosure that can weaken ASLR, not direct code execution.
