CVE-2024-39370Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unchecked SSID copy

Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025

Stack buffer overflow in Wavlink AC3000 firmware M33A8.V5030.210505 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via HTTP. The set_MeshAp() handler passes the unbounded wlan_ssid2 POST value to sprintf() for a 0x98-byte stack buffer, overwriting the return address. A valid session cookie and network access to the management interface are required; TouchLinkEn is enabled by default, and exploitation controls router execution.
