Stored XSS via unsanitized playlist settings
Published May 29, 2024 · Updated Mar 14, 2025
Stored XSS in manu225 Playlist for Youtube 1.32 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through plugin settings. The Playlist Name and Video size fields accept script-bearing values without sanitization or output escaping and later render them in a page. Editor-level or higher access is required, and exposure is limited to multisite installations or sites where unfiltered_html is disabled; viewing the injected page executes the stored script.
