Authenticated command execution via unsanitized directory path
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
OS command injection in Wavlink AC3000 firmware M33A8.V5030.210505 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The nas.cgi remove_dir() path passes the dir_path POST parameter directly into do_system() as part of an rm -rf shell command without neutralizing command delimiters. Administrative credentials and network access to the management interface are required; injected commands run with the router service's privileges.
