CVE-2024-39350

Privilege acquisition via RTSP authentication spoofing

Published Jun 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Authentication bypass in Synology Camera Firmware before 1.0.7-0298 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to obtain privileges through RTSP. Synology has not disclosed how the RTSP implementation authenticates spoofed traffic incorrectly. Exploitation requires an adjacent-position man-in-the-middle attacker, no prior privileges, and high attack complexity; successful exploitation compromises confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
