Incorrect default permissions in Synology Router Manager (SRM) allow man-in-the-middle attackers to access protected intranet resources. Firewall-rule handling in SRM 1.2 before 1.2.5-8227-11 and SRM 1.3 before 1.3.1-9346-8 applies improper access control after initial setup. Exploitation requires authentication and a man-in-the-middle position; the direct impact is access to sensitive LAN resources, while code execution requires chaining with other flaws.
