Configuration disclosure via exposed post-installation file
Published Sep 23, 2024 · Updated Nov 4, 2024
Information disclosure in Entrust Instant Financial Issuance 6.8.x and earlier, 6.9.0 through 6.9.2, and 6.10.0 allows attackers to read data. The installer leaves WebAPI.cfg.xml under a predictable customer-specific IIS webroot, where HTTP port 80 serves it without authentication. Reachability requires access to the IIS listener and discovery of that webroot; the file exposes parameter names and encrypted sensitive values.
