CVE-2024-39323Network attack vector

Editor-to-admin takeover via unrestricted customer updates

Published Jul 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Improper authorization in Aimeos Admin GraphQL API allows remote authenticated users with editor access to take over administrator accounts. The Customer GraphQL update path passed attacker-controlled fields through fromArray() without first restricting security-sensitive fields or site scope. Editor access is required; changing an administrator's password, account code, or group data grants control of that account.
