Backend configuration deletion via overbroad resource authorization
Published Jul 2, 2024 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Incorrect authorization in Aimeos ai-admin-jsonadm affected versions allows remote authenticated users to delete required backend records. The JSON admin resource policy lists the admin group alongside super users for locale site, language, and currency records, authorizing editors to delete configuration reserved for super users. An authenticated editor role is required, and deleting admin-group or locale records can alter configuration and interrupt backend operation.
